HOW DOES BAKELI WORK?

We have a location-based feature on the app. Using that feature you can pre-order food from the bakers in your neighborhood. Once your ordered bakery product is ready, you will get a notification from our app, TING! It will let you know that your food is ready to be picked up. Hence it ensures that your food is always fresh because ‘Bakeli is always Freshli’!

This pre-order option for food leads to better food management and less wastage occurs for both the providers and the consumers.

WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS/ALLERGIES?

We keep in mind the health of every consumer and it’s our utmost priority. That’s why we encourage the bakers registered on our platform to share allergy-specific details for all the products they would like to sell via our platform. And as a consumer, while ordering an item, you can add a custom note to the baker highlighting your allergy-specific details.

WHY DO I NEED TO CARRY MY PHONE WHILE PICKING UP MY ORDER?

When you are about to pick up your ordered item, you need to click and change the order status to complete in front of the baker via order detail screen. This confirms to the provider, the consumer, and also us as, Bakeli, that the order has been processed successfully to the right person.

CAN ANYBODY ELSE PICK UP MY ORDER?

You need to be logged into the account to change the order status while collecting the ordered item. Hence it is not possible to hand over your order to another person. This is to ensure that the order reaches the right person. Thereby, saving your time and money.

WHAT IF I DON'T SEE MY FAVORITE BAKERY/BAKER ON BAKELI?

You can reach out to us with the baker/bakery details, and we will do our best to reach them out and also encourage them to be a part of our wonderful initiative. OR you can also try out different delicacies from the bakers available on our app as well. After all, there's no harm in trying new things!

As we are a new start-up, any support or offline/online publicity from you matters to us a lot. You can also encourage bakers/bakeries in your neighborhood to be a part of the family! This way others can get the taste of the delicacies of your favorite bakers too!

HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK ON BAKELI?

We only accept online payment via Tikkie. Once you proceed to pay after ordering your favorite bakery products, a link from Tikkie is generated for you to complete the payment. It is not necessary to have an account with Tikkie to finish the payment. Simply click the Tikkie link generated and pay with your respective Dutch account.

Please note that we don't accept any payment in cash and also providers registered on Bakeli cannot take any cash for the orders made to them via our platform..

HOW CAN I DELETE MY ACCOUNT?

WHAT IF I DON'T RECEIVE A RESPONSE TO MY QUERY FROM THE BAKELI SUPPORT DESK?

We always try to answer your queries as fast as we can. However, some delays may happen due to holidays/weekends/resource crunch. Also, at times, replies from Bakeli can end up in the spam box of our users. Soo make sure to cross-check your spam box once.

WHAT IF THE STORE IS CLOSED AT THE PICKUP TIME?

The customers are free to choose a pickup time as per their convenience and also according to the working hours of the respective baker. But, if you find that the store/home is closed during the provider’s working hours or during your pick-up time, then please reach out to us at support.helpdesk@bakeli.nl so that we can look into it ourselves.

WHAT IF I MISSED MY PICK-UP TIME?

We send a notification to consumer as soon as the order status is changed to "Ready for pick-up" from provider side. However, if you're unable to reach the time frame you've chosen, we request you to reach out to bakers via the details provided on the order details page for a solution.

HOW CAN I CANCEL THE ORDER?

Orders once placed cannot be canceled at this point. We are working on this feature. But if your order is cancelled from the provider side, then we will refund your money in 14 working days.

HOW AND WHEN DO I KNOW IF MY ORDER IS READY FOR PICK UP OR NOT?

You will get a notification as soon as the order status is changed to "Ready for pick-up" from provider side. Within the order details page, you can check the location from where you need to pick up your order.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE I HAVE SOME FOOD ALLERGY?

While ordering a product, you will find a custom note section. There you can highlight your allergy-specific information. This allows the provider to bake you the food which suits your health. We truly value the health of our users and it’s something of utmost priority for us.

WHAT IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE ORDER I RECEIVED?

We are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. If the food, you receive is not of good quality or has any other issues please contact us at support.helpdesk@bakeli.nl. Your feedback will help us to improve and grow.

Please reach out to us at support.helpdesk@bakeli.nl with the details of the baker/bakery and the best will be done to reach them out and encourage them to become a part of our wonderful team. As a new startup, the more you publicize Bakeli, the more bakers can join us, more consumers can get their favorite food.
